SBEM (Part L Compliance)

We are:

  • Low Carbon Consultants
  • Accredited Non-Domestic Energy Assessors, Level 3, 4 & 5
  • Approved to issue EPC’s for both existing and new non-domestic buildings

Your building will be assessed for meeting the requirements of Building Regulations Part L, local planning conditions and SBEM compliance using Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) software. We will give advice on adopting cost conscious, energy and fuel efficient building services including; lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation and controls to achieve compliance.

Our aim is to achieve workable, cost effective and energy fuel efficient solutions to buildings and their installed building services to create manageable and comfortable environments for occupants.

Energy Performance Certificate’s (EPC’s)

The requirement for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) was introduced in England and Wales from 6 April 2008, for non-domestic buildings with a floor area greater than 50m².

Non-dwellings are “responsible for almost 20 per cent of the UK’s energy consumption and carbon emissions.” As a consequence, we will conduct building surveys for the issue of EPC’s and advise client’s on adopting the most cost efficient energy reduction measures to meet the proposed government’s minimum EPC ratings for 2018 and 2023.

As accredited assessors we are able to issue EPC’s for all non-domestic buildings.

Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme introduced by the UK Government under the EU Energy Efficiency Directive. It applies to large undertakings and their corporate groups in the UK.

To qualify for ESOS, an organisation must meet at least one of the following criteria on the qualification date of each compliance phase:

  • Employ 250 or more people
  • Have an annual turnover exceeding £44 million and an annual balance sheet total exceeding £38 million

Organisations that meet these thresholds must complete an energy audit conducted by an accredited ESOS Lead Assessor to assess their energy usage and identify cost-effective measures to improve efficiency.

Our expertise ensures full compliance with ESOS requirements while providing valuable recommendations for long-term energy savings and carbon footprint reduction.

Accredited ESOS Lead Assessors

Providing expert guidance and compliance services for the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)

Your organisation will be assessed for compliance with the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) regulations, which require large UK businesses to conduct energy audits every four years. We will evaluate energy consumption across buildings, transport, and industrial processes, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.

Our aim is to deliver practical, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions that help businesses reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs, and enhance sustainability.
