25 June 2008 - EPC Legislation

As part of a European wide initiative to reduce carbon emissions from buildings, the Government has introduced the requirement for carbon benchmarking of all the UK building stock, and from 1st October 2008 all buildings must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) at change of lease, sale of property or every 10 years.

The Energy Performance Certificates have/are being introduced at periodic intervals during the year starting with buildings over 10,000m² from 6th April, on the 1st July for buildings over 2,500m², with all other buildings requiring EPC’s from 1st October.

We are pleased to advise that we have in place the computer software, training and expertise to provide any building with the required EPC, take on commissions from any stage, even base measured surveys, and CAD input. Should you have any requirement, please contact David Ambler for further information.
